Carbon Dream places a strong emphasis on investment in Research and Development, and is currently working in partnership with leading universities and research organisations around the world to enhance and develop their new products. Research programs at leading universities around the globe have driven huge improvements to both the efficiency of the process and also the quality.
Our team can support with design activity, prototyping, product development, industrialization, equipement design, development of technologies and process. Our designers work on modelling, mold designs (CAD and CAM) and FEM structural analysis.
We benefit from two quality control rooms where a staff of 4 quality control engineers will inspect parts along different manufacturing stages. The first room is where initial quality checks are performed, starting from visual and manual checks, with the option of also performing more complex quality checks such as ultrasound and other forms of NDT.
The metrology room next to the quality department is where our technicians will inspect metal components, inserts, tooling and hole positions on machined parts. The inspection will be done against CAD data, thanks to the Poli programmable laser head and the Geom 3D scanner (better use for surface checks). The lab is kept at a constant temperature at all times.
